Insurance Process

Navigating the aftermath of property damage can be a stressful experience, especially when dealing with insurance claims. At Flashpoint Company, we aim to make this process as smooth and transparent as possible. Our structured approach ensures every step is handled with care, professionalism, and efficiency. Below, we outline our comprehensive Mitigation and Rebuild processes, designed to restore your property and peace of mind.

Mitigation Process

Step 1:
Introduction

Our water technicians will arrive promptly and conduct an initial walkthrough with the property owner to assess the situation and identify the source of the damage. Following this, the owner will sign a Work Authorization form, granting Flashpoint Company permission to begin the mitigation process.

Step 2: Documentation and Drying

The technicians will photograph the affected areas, stabilize the property, begin drafting the necessary reports, and set up drying equipment. This step is meticulous, as our team ensures your home is thoroughly dried to prevent further issues.

Step 3:
Drying Completion

Over the next three days, the water technician will monitor the drying equipment installed in your home. Once the drying process is complete, all equipment will be removed. It’s crucial that the equipment remains operational 24/7 during this phase to ensure effective results.

Step 4:
No More Water!

The technicians will photograph the affected areas, stabilize the property, begin drafting the necessary reports, and set up drying equipment. This step is meticulous, as our team ensures your home is thoroughly dried to prevent further issues.

Rebuild Process

Step 1:
Introduction

During the mitigation process, a rebuild estimator will visit your property to draft a detailed assessment of the necessary repairs.

Step 2:
Negotiation

The estimator will submit the proposal to your insurance company for approval. The estimator and the adjuster will collaborate until both parties agree on the scope of work, which typically takes 2 to 4 weeks.

Step 3:
Approved Estimate

Once your adjuster approves the scope of work, it’s time to sign a contract and pay your deductible. This stage usually takes 1 to 2 weeks.

Step 4:
Production Begins

A project manager will be assigned to your case, and you’ll review selections so that materials can be ordered. This step generally takes 1 to 2 weeks.

Step 5:
Job Completion

When all materials have arrived, construction begins. Once the work is completed, you’ll perform a final walkthrough with your project manager to ensure everything meets your expectations. The timeline for this phase varies between 2 to 8 weeks, depending on the job size.

Step 6:
Final Approval

Now that your home is restored to its pre-loss condition, you’ll sign a Certificate of Completion. This document is sent to your insurance company to notify them that the project is finished and the final payment can be processed.
